Interment Rights. When you buy a lot at Penn Forest (or any cemetery), you are not actually buying a piece of land but only the right to be buried in that particular site. For that reason, when you purchase a lot, you will be issued an interment rights certificate, which is not a deed.

Interment rights for the following are available at Penn Forest:

• Ground burial lot (4 feet by 8 feet)
• Cremated remains lot (2 feet by 2 feet)
• Up to four cremated remains interred in 8-foot by 4-foot lots
• Cremated remains scattering sites

We offer a choice of Select or Sequential lots. Select interment rights allow you to choose a specific lot or lots. Sequential interment means the cemetery decides where your body will be interred depending on what is best for the restoration of the land.
